The intro 

The left the earth will rock back and forth every 6 months. Instead of a line to show the axis, I used kookie.

Middle is the date and one hour before sunset.

When they give the sunset time it is the time the top of the sun vanished, so I added a time to get to the top.

On the right the earth orbiting the sun, where it would be on that particular day of the year

Location of the sun on the horizon each day of the year if looking from post 44.

In the last few years I have taken pictures from the top of Mount Pleasant in the morning, at sunset and dawn.

I have been up before daylight in attempts to capture the sun rising over mount pleasant  from the fairgrounds and after dark.. Also from Forest Rose with the pup, hoping we didn't get locked in the grave yard 🙂

The photos at the bottom are a couple of those.

A short course on astronomy indeed will be. Begin with the basics so when it plays the meaning of images will be easy to see.

DATE AND TIME sunsets in the top middle will be. An hour ahead on our clock, if you arrive at sunset it already dropped.

SOLSTICE to the left of the screen, Kooky to point out how the earth does lean, When the top of the earth does lean to the right , there you see the earth orbiting bringing a summer delight. Rocking and rolling, orbiting the sun, in a dance we are strolling.

SETTING SUN in the center horizon bouncing along each day it will be If the clouds are kind in that direction your head will turn to see.

ENAMORED WITH THE GHOST OF THE SUN are we. Sharing photos, with pups and friends in awe as we gaze up, but in that time it is the ghost of the sun eight minutes gone

[ We have never nor can we look up and see the sun. It takes 8 minutes for the sun to arrive so we see only the ghost of the sun]

Hold on and wait for the dawn Scattering, Refraction Reflection Diffraction oh no, just when you thought you were enjoying a beautiful show The cause of it all is not important to know.

The sun alone is not a great show but with floating fairy dust in the air we know of eternal beauty we explore, today, tomorrow and those before us long ago.

[ With out the gasses and particles of things along with water, there could be no beautiful colors. Other than elements I just called it fairy dust }

Hold back your tears when you see the sun vanish below, turn around in the morning to observe it pop up again you see.

The sun is going nowhere, but the earth is spinning with you and me.

[ The sun slowly sinking is actually us spinning around at 800 miles an hour. With out gravity we would be ejected from the earth.
When ‘watching the sunset, you are actually observing your ride on the earth zipping around the sun]

Watching the moon pull a great joke. She must have been laughing as she covered the sun with her cloak

[ Too much to include in a 3 minute video, but there is so much to include. Instead of trying to capture a mini eclipse pic I took photos of those watching it.

On that day I actually took a photo of my self on top of Mt Pleasant with my camera over 1900 feet away.

[ The movement of the earth made me think of the dances when I was a pup. Rocking and rolling and strolling around the floor did they go ]

My photos had different horizons, to make it better they would have been at the same level I suppose.

Being on top of Mt Pleasant at fair.. I looked forward to for years.

The time lapse cloud videos .. spending hours to capture hundreds of photos and condensing them into seconds. , I love those. Just a little movement of the tripod, ugh.

I knew people would take endless photos of the eclipse never to be seen again, but in the future having one of them on mt pleasant for that event would be cool. I took a few hundred fuzzy telephotos so if you were on Mt Pleasant , might have one of you.

Indeed the clip is a short astronomy course from Mt Pleasant. The amazing events around us, un=noticed.

Things getting tougher as i keep strolling around the sun so haven’t been gone as often.

If you are not far away bring your pals and just ask another visitor to take a group photo for you.

If you stand at post 44, with a wide lens, pointing 270 degrees and take a photo on Dec 20th and June 20th, combine one half to another, dual sunsets will you have.

I thought what if I could combine dual sunsets in a video.. Well maybe 😀
